Osseous Surgery
Traditionally, gum disease is treated with osseous surgery during which we eliminate the gum pockets, trim away the infected gum tissue and recontour the uneven bone tissue. Although this is still an effective way of treating gum disease, new and more sophisticated procedures are used routinely in conjunction with osseous surgery.
